Welcome to Barrydale Cellar, the home of excellence in distilling and winemaking. The cellar is located on the edge of Barrydale, between Oudtshoorn and Cape Town on the picturesque Route 62, which cuts through South Africa’s Klein Karoo. The Klein Karoo is the home of the legendary brandy-making empire of Joseph Barry, who also gave Barrydale its name. He was a maverick, a rebel, adventurer, visionary, non-conformist and pioneer whose entrepreneurial spirit drove him to do things differently. He succeeded where others dared not try.
